Good afternoon Ladies,
Just wanted to tell you about the sweetest lady I met the other day. Had to take my car for the yearly inspection. Almost talked myself out of it, figuring I could go the next week, no big deal. Finally decided I'd go and get it over with. So I walk into my local Kwik Kar and hand over the keys, sit down in their waiting area and smile at the gal seated across from me. I said, "don't you just hate having to deal with this stuff?" That's when she began telling me that her husband always took care of those things, but he passed away two years before and she hates dealing with the car. So, we sat for the next hour and chatted and cried a little, telling each other how things have been going. We exchanged names, phone numbers and email addresses before I left, and I made sure I gave her the information about this forum. I think she'd really benefit from hanging out here. She was so sad, I just wanted to hug her. She said I was supposed to be there that day, that it was meant to be and I had made her feel better. Made me want to cry. We've emailed back and forth a couple of times and I forwarded the last Boomerwomenspeak newsletter to her. She was very excited about it and said it made her feel less alone, and she wanted to know if she could share it with friends. Dotsie, I knew you'd say by all means, share it. I'm hoping she'll register and start sharing with ya'll and I know you'll all welcome her. She's a precious little Boomer gal and she's hurting and needs us.
