Good topic for discussion, Chatty.

Clearly I am not widowed, but I have come to the opinion that if I were to find myself in an unmarried state, I would not actively seek to remarry.

Don't misunderstand me, I am very happy in my current marriage to Steve. I love our life. And that's saying a lot, since we are essentially together 24/7. (Except that he doesn't attend meetings with me, run errands with me or shop. So I DO have some time alone.)

But I've been married twice, and my time of child-rearing is done. I think there's a lot to be said for living alone but having a good group of friends -- male and female -- to spend time with when I want companionship.

Now I keep saying this - I've been sharing this opinion for several months now -- but clearly I am not widowed. Maybe I would change my opinion were I to actually find myself alone.
