Autumn, season, beginning, end

I left Spring behind as I stepped into Summer
I now hear the beats of Autumn's apt drummer
He's drumming my name, young seasons have run
My beginning has gone, my end will soon come
Life, and its seasons, pass within [a] short time
Winter yet known, but welcomed just fine.
I shan't shed a tear for any past day
The Lord gave me life, he will take it away
