It sounds like you have a wonderful mom -- and yes I used the word HAVE because you still DO have a wonderful mom.

She isn't here in the flesh to still do those things for you -- but she's still a "warm fuzzy" feeling deep inside you and you have wonderful memories to get you through the day.

You have little traditions to hand down to your children -- the little things that they may not think about until one day they are walking through a day remembering THEIR great mom

So remember her as if she's just living down the street -- and smile at your new fangled dryer with none of the great features of the past -- run your bare toes in front of the door where wet newspapers could be and know she did a pretty good job of raising a really nice family
