Yeah, we tend to have a few more things lying around the house these days too. Funny thing, I don't mind it as much as when they were here all the time. I guess I know it will end as soon as they all head back to school.

When I moved to D.C. for three years and one or both my sons would come to visit, it made me smile to see socks on the floor, a shirt hung on the door knob, jeans on the bed, bed unmade and dishes scattered in the kitchen. It felt like home again, sometimes mess can mean so much more than just a moments inconvenience. Enjoy it while you can, I miss it so much.
