They were a handful at times for my son but he was unrelenting in showing them his love and dependability no matter what they did. Now they are all so close it makes me tear up. They will come to him with their problems and their joys. I am their Gramdma and have never once regretted it. She was a great step; she cooked, cleaned, financially back the entire brood. Now she's penniless. Her health has faded. She's isolated from her many friends. I'm glad some of you have had a great experience in the stepchildren area. But some folks aren't so lucky. But she's going backwards. I can't get any calls through to her. She isn't eating. She was walking without assistance. Now she's using a walker, again. This is the most heartbreaking circumstance I've ever faced. And believe me, I've faced some beauties. I don't have PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) for nothing.
