Are you planning on seeing the new movie.

I think I need to see it - even though I am quite sure it will be a tough movie to watch.

I like the idea that it is a movie about the heroes... we can't forget the day or the victims - but can acknowledge and learn from the heroes of the day.

I didn't think I wanted to see the movie, because it took a long time to get over 9/11. But my nephew, the Marine, had the idea that our entire family go see it together. They had a pre-viewing of the movie for his unit and he said it was the best movie he'd ever seen. We plan to see it next weekend (not this one) We know we'll have to take in a box of tissues.

I suppose watching it will be a tribute to our heroes - and it will be meaningful to see it with our own hero.

I absolutely cannot see it. Maybe it is because I live in NY. I just don't know. It's something I will never, ever forget. I was lucky not to have lost anyone close to me but I did know of people who died. My daughter flies weekly on business...nearly every single week. I leave my fears in the hands of the Lord and pray that He will keep her safe. I could never get through that movie but I agree that I am so grateful to the brave men and women that saved so many lives and helped to put our city back together...although it will never be the same.

I can see why it would be very hard to see it for those living near where it happened.

The news today is making me so sad that we have to continue to deal with terrorists. However God bless those who helped figure out what was being planned and saved who know how many lives.

Prayer... that's what will change this world.

Donna you are so right. Goodness, prayers and paying it forward is the only thing that will turn around the hatred being sent forth among us all.

God help us.

I have mixed emotions about it seeing it, but I probably will. Simply out of respect. That may sound crazy, but somehow going to see it is my statement to those involved saying, "I promise I won't forget!" Does that make sense?

Pam, I can certainly see your point. Bless your heart!

You will be making a statement by seeing it - just as the folks who made the movie are making a statement. I too want to say I will not forget.

Those who were involved in it wanted us to be terrorized and we were... but we must not let them win. They need to realize that what made America great is our dtermination and that is what will keep us great despite their "best" efforts!

God bless America and ALL of our heroes!

I'd watch it as soon as it comes out here. To remember. I have watched Flight 93 last week. To remember.

British policing thwarted a similar attempt yesterday. I have been very angry since 9/11 and 7/7 last year because all this has given rise to prejudices. Much as I don't want to give in to that feeling, the vigilance with which one takes to instinctively, out of very frightful situations, dictates emotions which are not norm and which are not pleasant.

Lola, do you know if there are Moslem organizations in England who try to fight terrorism? If anyone can change those b#$@#$#@, I would think it would be their own people. Lots of Moslem-clubs and their Mausoleums have been closed down in Germany.

We are going to see it this afternoon. I have very mixed emotions about going to see the movie, but, like others, I like the idea that it tells the story of the heros--so many, many to thank. Lola, 7/7 made us all pause--when will it end?

Hi, Hannelore: Terrorism is a common threat to ALL communities. It is not selective. That's the way it is with a faceless enemy. Communities here of ALL creeds, race, political inclinations etc work to be vigilant.

Hi, JJblue: God alone knows.
