I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the steam cleaners they have out there now.

I am thinking of getting one to clean my kitchen floor--we have porcelian tile & I only use warm water on it now.

It's such a hassle mopping & I am getting desperate!!! Esp since our kitchen doubled in size & it's expensive tile!!! [Embarrassed]

I keep seeing them on HSN or QVC...but never know if it's really authentic when they clean.

So before I go & spend $100 on the Shark model I am looking at......

I borrowed a friend's Shark to steam a bunch of table cloths for the church. I couldn't stand the dang thing. I burned myself a couple times and gave up. Get other opinions though because she swears by it.

Couple years ago, I bought a Bissell Proheat Powersteamer - carpet and floor cleaner. It works well enough on the carpet, altho' it takes forever! But I didn't think it worked well at all with the floor cleaning attachment on the kitchen tile. I gave up using for it for that. So don't get THAT one!

I have one that really works well but be careful because it will sometimes cause the tiles to pop up. Never on the kitchen floor which I believe is one piece even though it doesn't look like it but when the pieces are down separately, they sometimes come loose from the steam....
