Chickadee, that song, What a Wonderful World gives me a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes every time I hear it. I love it too!

Bluebird, my husband is an original Grateful Dead fan. Serious. I think he is still grieving over Jerry's death. I can't tell you how many dead shows I've been to. I liked the GD when I was stoned, but once I got straight, I couldn't take anymore. My hub and I have known each other since 1984. Just this year I asked him please, please, please do not play anymore GD in the car because I can't take it anymore. I waited years to tell him because he loves them so much and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. He has every tape from every show, and then some. I wouldn't mind that, but we have lived in 8 states together, and guess who does all the packing? Loading and unloading 500 tapes and albums. You have no idea what it has been like 24 8 with my h and his serious GD habit! (tongue in cheek here!) He got some good money for bootleg Dylan vinyl. We saw Dylan and the Dead in Anaheim CA. He saw Bob Weir this year at Red Rocks, CO. I didn't go. Thank God he had a friend to go with. I feel like I have betrayed him because we dated with the dead, and then I just can't take it anymore! Oh, and I have grown allergic to patchouli oil.

My husband has thousands of cds/albums!!! [Embarrassed]

We won't even get into the cassettes he has...the ones I switched the tapes around in a bunch about 12 years ago & he still hasn't discovered it!! [Smile]

My husband also has long hair he wears in a pony tail.....liked the look when I was younger...but now I favor men who have shaved heads! [Smile]

You wouldn't believe the posters/signed photos we have hanging all over the downsairs...which are now creeping up the staircase!!!

I refuse to dust any of his stuff.....!!! [Smile] It's all his!!!!!!!! Nah nah

Lynnie, I wonder if I went to high school with your husband! We had some very serious Deadheads there. Bob Weir was my favorite! I think he has a much better voice than Jerry did. I think I saw them in concert 3 times. They really are the only band I ever saw that was better in concert, than on record. But of course, I was always stoned, too! I used to get lost in their amazing instrumentals at their shows. I also saw Bob Dylan, I think at MSG in NY.
