I think I still have a pair of leg warmers and a set of bright striped 5-toe socks in an upper cabinet somewhere. It never really gets cold enough to wear them.

I did not have leg warmers in to dance ballet in them bare work. My daughter had a couple of pair for her dance class .

I got into my first pair of jeans in a long time and look so good in them. I had to call my girlfriend in Tenn . Happy Day ! I did not have jeans grown up mother would not have it.

I vote for stretchy things. Stretchy cotton, lycra spandex, stretch knits, you name it. Elastic waistbands RULE! [Razz] [Razz]

I haven't worn jeans in over 20 years. They never fit right, never were comfortable, I never particularly liked them, and I finally realized that I only wore them because "everyone" did.

Now as to cotton lycra leopard print stretchy stuff -- that's what I call a wardrobe basic [Wink]

How about the skin tight stretch cotton pants that were popular with the bulky socks bunched down around the ankle?

Ah yes...legwarmers. I had every imaginable color and wore them in and out of ballet class. My favorite were my lavendar angora leg warmers. I wore them outside my jeans, so they got stretched out. I had to stop wearing them in ballet class because I'd have to stop and pull them up all the time.
Didn't care so much for Flashdance, but I wanted to wear the look. I remember begging my dad for an advance on my allowance so I could purchase a Flashdance sweatshirt. But when I started wearing it, I didn't like how it exposed my bra strap. Loved the Fame series. It's probably what inspired me to continue with my ballet lessons.
We had the frosted jeans. We called them frosted, stone washed, acid washed, etc. They all looked the same to me. <G>
