I thought of that about my fathers ashes. Please, don't ever tell my mother!

Oh no! Hub just called and said he received a phone call from a delivery service in TN, at our other home, and they were trying to deliver a package from Chapel of the Chimes. You don't possibly think it's my FIL's ashes that were supposed to have been buried with hub's mother, do you? Gads, I hope not. Is this ever going to end?

Are you joking??? It can't be...

After my mom died, the funeral home mailed us booklets at different intervals, that had to do with dealing with the loss. Let's hope it's something like that.

This package required a signature so I don't think it's booklets. That's what scares me about it.

Yikes! Did a neighbor sign for it? I wouldn't think they'd be allowed to ship ashes...wouldn't the family have pick it up if they were keeping them at home?

I called the mortuary and they said it was a fruit basket as an apology for messing up with his ashes. Phew! I was upset all day!

This mortuary needs to get on the ball if they don't even know where you live!
I'm glad it worked out...a fruit basket, sheesh.
Since David has such a good sense of humor about these things, I'm surprised he didn't say something funny about that. (Don't mean to be disrespectful Dianne).

Dianne, you have really been on a roller coaster since your FIL died - I hope things are now settled to the point where you can simply grieve and be blessed by your memories.

Dianne, I'm so sorry to hear of your FIL's passing and the confusion and worry you went through while you awaited his ashes. It's a small comfort, I know, that he's now with his wife and they're sharing a good chuckle at all the fuss. Your David sounds like a sensible and good-humored man.

He did make me laugh again, once the stress was over. He said, "He's back" like the Poltergeist movie.

I want to thank all of you for your concerns and words of encouragement. I'm glad it's all behind us...at least, I think it is!
