I've been there as well; wasn't very far along, but nonetheless you have so many images building in your mind of what the baby will be, how it will look - you just love that little clump of cells as if it were laying in your arms already, smiling up at you. Our prayers are with you. There's not a lot to say in this situation. I know it bothered me when so many people said "Oh, you can try again!" I didn't want to hear that, I wanted MY baby that I had just lost! Just give her lots of hugs, Vicki. Kathy

She hasn't passed the fetus, so the doctors are suggesting she go to the hospital for a procedure. Something like a D&C. She's kinda scared. She had so many plans and was really looking forward to having this baby. I know she has to grieve for awhile and let the loss settle around her. She's a strong girl. I hope she has the strength to get through this.

It's pretty quick and painless (physically), but it's very wearing emotionally. And tell her to ignore any negative comments from the hospital employees - some can be so insensitive because they see this happen over and over. Once that's done, she can go home and rest for a bit. Again, lots of love and hugs. She'll be okay. Kathy
