[Eek!] While getting a haircut yesterday I met a woman with an adorable infant. I was trying to figure out what to say because I couldn't figure out if she was the mother or grandmother.

My ex-sister-in-law (who cuts my hair) introduced me and shared the ladies story. She has three grown children, two granchildren and now she has an infant.

She thought she was going through a change of a different kind...and found out she was pregnant at 48. [Eek!] Phew!

She laughed the whole time my ex-s-i-l told the story. By the grace of God the child is healthy and Mom sure looked happy!

Can you imagine? [Eek!]

My mom was 44 years old when she had my baby sister. When she found out she was pregnant she was so angry with my father, she filed for divorce. He made the comment that if he kept her barefoot and pregnant she couldn't leave him. In those days I guess women couldn't say NO! Their divorce was final three days before their anniversary, my sister came into this world kicking and screaming and very healthy. Pregnant, getting divorced and working full time, some women are such hero's.
