Top Ten Posts

Please submit your ten favorite posts(you may enter more than once with ten at a time). I am looking for wise posts that encouraged you, or gave you a different perspective on life.

So many women have come here for encouragement or support and have found it. I receive emails from women telling me how BWS has changed their lives.

Now's your chance to share the wise posts that encouraged or helped you in some way.

Be sure to include the forum, topic and the screen name of the woman who posted.

You may cut and paste in the body of an email, or send them in a Word document.

I will pick the best list and the winner will receive $100.00 cash!

All entries must be in by January 31, 2006. The winner will be notified Feb.1st by email. It will also be announced in this forum the same day.

kidogo, hold your finger down on your left mouse button and move the dark line across all you want to copy, let go and click the right side of your mouse. Choose copy from the list. Then when you want to paste what you copied somewhere, just right click again. You can paste into a word document or email. I am not sure if we can post them on the site? Dotsie, what is your preference?

I'm trying, I'm trying. If you could see me right now you'd be laughing right along with me. If I don't get it this time at least I will have mastered something new on this computer. What was it that train kept saying (in the story)"I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...."

I'll keep trying to get it right but I've got an out of town business trip tomorrow. My husband asked me to show him as soon as I learn how to do it. I thought he'd already know since he's an engineer! Oh well.

I gave up, sorry but cutting and pasteing isn't happening for me...Now I am all frustrated and must have chocolate. Good thing I don't drink...

I'm at the give up stage for one night. My husband offered me some of his chocolate. I think all this chocolate is making me 'thick' around the middle. Of course I told my husband that I was not gaining weight--my jeans are simply shrinking in the laundry! I bought bigger jeans today and since he only seems to notice how tight or loose they fit maybe I can lose the weight before I need another bag of chocolate. Oh no, next month is Valentine's Day. Okay, forget the diet. At least I got new jeans ahead of the extra weight gain. Now where did I put that last chocolate bar?????

OMG! I just tried to cut & paste and I managed to move two posts off this page and into my documents folder. I'm not sure if that means I'm cutting and pasting or if I did something else. But at least I did something even if it wasn't what I meant to do. I even remember how I did it (I think I do, anyway).....can you tell I'm excited?

Wow!!! What wonderful news to wake up to this morning! I'm delighted beyond words. Thank you, thank you very much! Not just for the prize money, but for the all the posts and threads that contained so much warm caring and love, which have healed me along my way since arriving here. I'm so indescribably grateful for all the women here, and the wonderful opportunitites I've had to share life, wisdom, voice and heart with you throughout these past months. I love this community, and cannot imagine my life without it.

EagleHeart this, unlike a scrabble game here and there is such an honor and so deservedly so because it was bestowed upon you by other women who appreciate and admire you and your wise council on theirs and others behalf. Something like this would bring me to my knees. I know you fully understand all of this but I just wanted to say it outloud...You see how loved you are here among everyone, wow!!!

Smile, when I first read your post, I thought you said that she (JJ) thinks she's a superbowl cheesecake. Honestly, that's what my eyes read...then I said "what???" and reread it.

JJ, thanks for risking your life and limb (and Trixie's ridicule) to do that celebratory dance for me...that's very altruistic of you! And I cherish the thoughtfulness, but please, hide those longjohns (unless they're cuddl-duds...then you can show me the lace).

The check arrived yesterday (I'm very impressed with the ultra-fast postal service!) We're heading south for awhile, so I'll think of something special to do with it when we get back.

Eagle, you should treat yourself to something really wonderful. Maybe art supplies or a day spa or some great music. Gee, there are so many things.

I hope you enjoy every momnent of whatever pleasure the prize brings. You deserve it.

Eagle..I don't know how I missed reading this thread earlier...but I am sooooooooo excited to know that you won this contest....you were one of the first ladies to welcome me here and you really made me feel connected and that is why I decided to make this place my home..I was shy and feeling self conscious and you reached through cyber space and held my hand...I'll never forget that you did that for me...Congratulations and do something extra special for yourself with your prize money.....here's a big hug..((((Sharon))))

Interesting way to put things. I remember the movie and my son saying - well, that's the ticket! Or something like that.

I have believed this all my life. I can't remember when it started, but I've always felt that if you do a good turn, it will come back to you 10 fold. O - well, that's a Bible thing, isn't it? NOt being such a religious person, these days, it IS interesting how those Bible teachings creep in, wanted or not!!!!! And I have found this to be true. One little gesture in good will, often brings more than anyone expected in terms of blessings.....
