Life as it does sometimes
is confusing and tough and cold,
And it does not seem to get
any easier the older that I grow.

More trials and tribulations
Some people seem to have,
Than some who seem to walk through life
On some magical big pink cloud.

But somehow those who suffer
Also reap blessings through the pain,
And then all that they have gone through
Can be looked upon as not so vain.

However, when you’re walking through it
The road seems many times to rough,
And the pathway to smooth those bumps
Seems entirely way too tough.

In despair some of us
Reach what we think of as whit’s end,
But then along comes and angel
In the form of a Friend.

That is what an Angel
Truly and honestly is,
A friend that’s there no matter what
Faithfully unto the end.

Then life as it does
Seems to slowly get a bit better,
And grateful we feel to our friend
For standing with us through our stormy weather.

Thank you to all the friends in my life
Who have giggled and laughed and played,
But thank you especially to all those who loved me enough
To love me, even when my clouds were gray.

I love you my dear friends
You are so precious to me,
Forever you’ll be with me in my heart
In this life, friends, we will always be.
