ONLY by the grace of God my son and his date survived a serious car accident last night (or should I say this morning?).

Small country roads, fog, rain, and driving a little too fast found my son flipping his car and totaling it.

He and his date WALKED away from the scene. She had a headache so she went to the ER and had a cat scan and xrays of her shoulder and neck. She was released with a prescription for Motrin.

Fortunately both sets of parents knew about the party they were headed to, and gratefully there wasn't an ounce of alcohol involved(always a big question in this town when a teen is in an accident in the middle of the night).

This year my prayer group has prayed faithfully for the protection of teens, especially Seniors. For many Mondays we prayed for the kids going to proms, graduation parties, Senior Week, etc.

I know that these prayers were heard because my son and his date are alive!

Dotsie, you didn't mention anything about the accident last night? I am so sorry to hear that. I am very glad they are well, and continue to pray for all those currently at Senior Week in OC, my son included. So much for after-prom parties keeping our kids safe.

You are right about the after prom parties. So now they have after-the after prom parties! I still think they are a great idea though.
