So,now who's read the "Davinci Code" or seen the movie? Lot's of controversy huh? I sheepishly say I thought the book was great (I love a mystery) and I didn't think the author had any hidden agendas. I've read a few other of his books and they seem fine. But I don't want to be fooled. (I haven't seen the movie). What do you all think? (Sorry if I missed other posts on this tell me where to go, I haven't started a new post yet!).

I totally loved the book; a very good read! Just saw the movie last week - you know a movie is never as good as the book.

I think the movie had too much talking to try to explain everything, but I don't know what else could have been done so folks who hadn't read the book would understand.

There were minor differences in the movie; one thing at the end that I kept waiting for didn't happen. But it was good.

I loved the book too! I agree...the movies they make of certain books are never as good as the book itself.

Often I wish that I hadn't seen the movie if I've read the book first. I get frustrated with what they change or leave out. I heard the movie had alot of talking also. The book was so action packed. There's one movie though that I insisted that I'd seen before as I was watching it. My friend assured my that there was no way as it was a premire. It followed the book so well that I thought I'd aleady seen it. "Misery".

Tom Hanks is always good...but I didnt care for the movie. I felt it was too far fetched, to be captivating. If your going to write a story that should seem like a non-fiction, then it should at least be believable.
