Another thought mentioned by Candice and DJ:

Watch and post about the same movie.

Thoughts:
We could pick a movie and everyone who wnated could try to watch it over a weekend, or during the week. At the end of the time specified we could pop in and post about what we thought of the movie.

What do you think?

Maybe every two weeks? I could probably do two weeks. I think this would be fun.

Okay, today I am going to post more information about the book club. Once I get this up and running we will move towards the movie idea. I think it's great.

We could give ourseleves 2 weeks to watch a certain movie and then on a certian date we could come in and start posting about it. Should be simple enough.

Suggestions for the first boomerwomenspeak movie please? [Big Grin]

Ms. D,
Since we are Boomers, why not try to think of a movie about Baby Boomers, like the one that Diane Keaton was in called "Baby Boom?" Just a suggestion.

Hey, but what do I know...my favorite movie is Shrek...

Not everyone in here is a baby boomer, so I think more of a variety of movies would be good. I'd rather they be something I can rent than something I would have to go to the theater to see.

There's nothing wrong with liking Srek by the way. I'd have no problems discussing the Little Mermaid if it's what we decided.

Okay, let's give ourselves 2 weeks to rent a movie and then check in and post about it.

Any ideas for the first rental?

I've got some suggestions: White Oleander, Rabbit Proof Fence, Frida, The Hours. All of these have to do with strong women. Maybe an older movie would be good too.

I've seen all of them at Blockbuster or Hollywood video. Maybe everyone can takle a look at a write up about the movies online and then we can decide.
