I just finished reading a fantastic book, Caramelo, by Sandra Cisneros. It is an incredible story of generations and how they are all connected.

I would say I am probably very biased when it comes to the book. Her style of writing and Latino roots have made me miss my grandmother who passed away in August. After reading the book, it makes me miss that part of my cultural upbringing even more. Reading this book was like reliving my time with her all over again.

Even if you aren't Latino in any way, I think you will enjoy the book for the excellent story telling that meshes fact, spirtulaity, and myth.
