Jabez prayer-This is a short but meaningful prayer. Have you ever prayed it?

Absolutely! Probably my favorite one Songbird...my version says

Oh that you would bless me
and enlarge my territory

That your hand would be with me
and keep me from evil.

That I would cause no pain. Amen

I wonder... Has this "prayer of Jabez" impacted your life in a positive way? It's impacted mine!

I carry it with me daily. I have it on my key-ring. It is an engraved cross.

Song, I pray that every day, actually journal it for my family.

Bless us indeed
Increase our territory
Keep your hand on us
Keep us from evil

It is such a powerful prayer. I absolutely love it and believe wholeheartedly in how that prayer is answered in my life daily.

Chcik, the saying is on the cross? Awesome.

The cross is mor flat and rounded not square and measures about 2"l x 1"w.

On one side it reads: And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that you would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain"
The other side reads: So God granted him what he requested. 1 CHR 4:10

About 2 yrs. ago I read that prayer and actually tried to learn what it meant to me. Since then, it has been on my mind, as it seems to phrase the longing of my heart regarding my ministry. I wrote the poem to try to capture what I learned from it. It's a small but powerful prayer!

Yes, Dotsie. I got the book. It is so inspiring! In fact, I bought some copies as gifts too, both for men and women.
