energy, tide, empty, moon
Interesting words Anno… Thanks

Energy can flow just like the tide,
Sometimes it's low and sometimes it's high.

The empty beach, with washed up debris and shells,
Allows strength to build, where the deep ocean dwells.

The tide will mount and fill those strands again,
Spreading it's strength, - determined to the end.

In the glow of the moon light, the water will gather,
Breaking out in waves; high and foamy they lather.

Such are our lives; empty - and sometimes full.
We go with the tide, or fight nature's rules.

Whichever way you chose, for your course of action,
Changes are sure; and God knows the direction.

These are Anno's and Edelweiss's words combined...

Lessons learned and applied,
come in slowly like high TIDE.

It never can be too soon,
for learning by the glow of the MOON.

Then tide goes out slow and nice,
leaving behind it good ADVICE.

We can follow with our HEART,
knowing now we are smart,
yet don't have all the ANSWERS.

But is that truly news,
or are we CONFUSED,
as to the ENERGY we hold.

Hang on to what you've learned,
appreciate what you have earned
or as the tides goes out to sea,
so will your mind again be EMPTY...

Words: seaside, dance, iceskate, romance

Oh what memories yesterdays have been,
Long, long ago and way back when.
I recollect with lovers,
Strollin' white, sandy shores,
on an endless seaside or waterways galore,
Young and carefree, we cruised main drags of town,
In a topless car with warm breezes blowin'
all 'round.

There was a dance of sorts,
At an outside rink,
Arranged by a church,
They called it a group iceskate,
I think.

And I remember sox hops, in days of ole,
Romance filled the air,
And love consumed the soul.

Wow Chatty, you used 8 words. That's hard, and you did it!!
Jabber, I like that sentence, "love consumed the soul."

New words:
Renew, beginning, chance, instill

A new chance for a new beginning
every year, at the same time.
Eating too much, and other sinnings
instiill remorse; we don't want to pine.

Fireworks explode and we toast in January
We renew our vows, and add some more.
This time we won't mess up; quite the contrary
We go out like a mouse; but start with a lion's roar.

Why oh why can't I stick to my vows,
Why oh why – I ask and feebly call,
"I swear this year, I won't be a two faced louse
I swear, I won't be weak, succumb and fall!"

2009; - I will be thin rich and bootifull,
Hahahaha, give me some cake, and pass the beer.
That was a belly laugh, infact it was hootifull.
If I accomplish it all, what will I vow next year?

Oh brother…I'm gonna quit before you all get sick. cry

New words:
Hopefull, nasty, break, fountain

Many a mountain 'tis a nasty climb,
And, as in any rough sport, they ever report,
The hopeful 'n strong keep pushin' along,
To reach the crest of the height,
In record-breaking time.

Training to be a climber,
Is a grueling thing,
Athletes do what's required to prepare,
For the next climb they're willing to dare.
They'll throw coins in a fountain,
Then wish to succeed,
And overexert bodies or even bleed.

There's not a climber who gets a break,
All ascend upward, to the top, for goodness sake.
They'll huff 'n puff, faster each time,
Aspiring to be the cream of the crop,
Has never been known as a crime!

New words:
assume, webb, pilfer, deceit

If you don't like those words, assume, webb, pilfer, deceive, you're free to trade 'em in for new ones! That'd be cool!

Gonna see if I can write a poem with these 4!

Assume your long time friend,
Whom you loved 'n trusted to no end,
Weaved a webb of deception and deceit,
Which nearly knocked you right off your feet.
And assume it took you a little while,
To unscrabble her lies of nearly a mile,
Though you're truly amazed,
At how soon you caught on, real neat!

Now your senses are floundering and scared,
You avoid closeness and try not to care,
For how was one you loved 'n trusted,
Able to deceive your faith and bust it?

Relationships ought to be cherished,
And held at the highest level,
Never to pilfer or defile,
In the blink of an eye,
Or behind a false smile!
