I just came home this sunday after a weekend at the
Women's Ministry Retreat for our three state conference in a beautiful hotel. There were around 230 women and teens. Our guest speaker came from Venezuela, the author of the Women's devotional book for 2008.
The theme this year was [/b]At Jesus feet... together we will conquer.[b]

It was great to meet another writer. I was also able to let them know about my upcoming second musical Cd. We had a blessed weekend, with seminars such as :

[*]Skin care

I got to reunite with friends and acquaintances from previous retreats and made a few new friends as well.

I look forward to next year's retreat.

I think I read a book once called The Power of a Praying Mother, or was it Wife? I also read What Can Happen When We Pray for Our Families.

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing time. ISn't it powerful to be with that many women?

Have you ever been to a Women of Faith event? http://www.womenoffaith.com. Thousands of women attend them in big arenas, and when everyone sings, it sounds heavenly.

Dotsie, regarding the books, there is one for the mother, one for the wife, one for the husband, etc. Stormie Omartian has written several books on the topic of praying for the family.

It is great to share and learn what goes on in different retreats. It is powerful... so many women seeking to hear the Word of God, to share His blessings, to be equipped for service... It's amazing! Inspiring! Rejuvenating!
