My problem is that I'm usually too casually dressed, but can't help it. nancy j Registered: 06/14/09 Posts: 6	I am 56 and I don't think ruffles would do a thing for me. I find I have to be very careful of clothing choices now that I gained weight. Things I could get away with when I was thinner, don't look so swell on me now.

chatty lady Writer Registered: 02/24/04 Posts: 20267 Loc: Nevada	My mother who is 89, modeled in a fashion show a week ago and wore a gorgeous purple outfit, skirt, jacket and a lavender blouse beneath the jacket with soft ruffles and she said everyone said how young they made her look and yet were so tasteful. So I think maybe its the outfit itself and not what age we are. Last year I bought a very pretty red blouse with white polka dots and ruffles about a half inch wide down each side of the buttons. A month or so later when I put it on, I had to ask, what was I thinking? I should have known better, this is what I do for a living. I got sucked in by the sale price.
