"Who in our lives are the messengers of God? Who are those around us...who come to us as the medium through which God wishes to touch our lives?"

Wendy M. Wright, The Vigil

Thanks to those of you who often post in our Faith forums, for being some of my messengers from God. It's a fun thing to topic to think about. Who have been some of your messengers?

Where do I begin?!! Everyone here has been a messenger from God for me at some point in my journey. Everyone who speaks a kind word, or a wisdom that changes my way of thinking, or a compassion for others that then reminds me to be compassionate too...even those who I've had disagreements or difficulties with have taught me something that has been worth learning. It all adds up to a very tender glimpse of a God who really wants me (us?) to know that He has not left me to journey alone, but provides roadmaps, street signs and help along the way through the people I meet at particular intersections of my life and journey.

For me, this place, BWS has been FULL of messengers from God. It's difficult to single any one person out, because each person's piece of wisdom and each kind word has helped in different ways at different crossings for different reasons.

anyone struggling soometimes falling but getting up again after a short time and struggling on with some dignitie untill thers no struggle left to be done....ther my most consistent god messengers.

anyone who consitentlie holds god in their focus or talkes openlie and regularlie becouse as eagle said it helps me be that too.

i don't go for celebrities social or spiritual but tend to find the insperasion in the normale people so if some i name by name theyd not be knowen to you.

Celtic, I don't think it's corny that you see Lucien as a messenger from God for you. I'm really seeing my 2-year-old grandson as a gift from God these days, if not a word-messenger per se yet, certainly a tender comfort and joy. I mentioned in another forum here that I'm beginning to recognize that it's no accident that he came into my life just as Gary left. My grandson has that same twinkle of mischief in his eye that I so adored in my brother. They're not even blood-related (my grandson is my grandson by marriage), but even my hubby (who is the child's father's father) sees it.

I think God uses the children in our lives to teach us a great deal about life, especially reminding us that our greatest joys can be found in the simplest things...and that we're allowed to have fun along the way!

thanks eagle

i know i finalie finalie lost wee A and was devistated BUT L was 3 mounths old! for all those years i could't carrie full term yet with L first time fell pregnant and carried full term. When i fell pregnant i could't even see what circumstanses would surround me when he was born, amazine coincidenses if they coinsidenses at all. I will say coinsedense becouse i don't know what else to call it, but i fear i would't have gotten through that inical period after A was away if it wase't for L and being his mum which ment i had to be sane and responsible as he had no other mum, know what i mean.

so from that start growes a freendship and a relashionship that good, bizzare at times becouse life is, but a good relashionship with him children generallie can be amazine teachers and especialie so if you have a bond like your describing with your grandkid. I would't think they have to be blood relatives either just bonded with them, i am glade you see that twinkle of familure mistchife.
