Dots, I know you and your dad have a wonderful, warm relationship as my dad and I did. It makes me happy to know that you are still able to be with him, loving and laughing and cherishing him as I know you do. And painful as loss is, it is also a great teacher. It has taught me to love and value and cherish in ways I might not have, had I not learned the lessons about the the preciousness of time. I try never to squander a moment when I'm with the people I love. I know you are the same.

I know you know you are not hurting alone. Lots and lots of people are living with hurt. And sooner or later I think life teaches us all a lesson about the preciousness of time. Time is not to be squandered; cherish every moment spent with loved ones!
