Eagle, when I owned a condo, my bathroom was peach with gold accents. It is a lovely colour.

Also reflects well, on anyone's skin tone..in the mirror.

I would choose warm orange..if you live in Ottawa. Your winters are bit colder...than Vancouver! Imagine doing your bathroom a Santa Fe /southwest feel...or something more tropical with a burnt rich terra cotta cabinetry finishes.

Orchid, I really like the Santa Fe/southwest colours. Our middle bedroom is done in that decor. When we moved in, those bedroom walls were painted turquoise and I liked it, so we never repainted. It goes really well with the Santa Fe comforter and curtains, and the dark walnut antique dresser that my Dad bought for me when I was 9 years old.

But everyone who visits us hates the turquoise, and since it has to be repainted this year, we'll be changing the colour. So we're going with a beigy-brown colour - long story - when we were repainting the living room, we made a mistake with the colour, so put this wrong colour away and bought the new mix. We decided to use this "wrong colour" in the bedroom. It will go well with the southwest decor and the new paintings we just bought while up north. A bit too dark for my liking, but my stepdaughter, who uses the room the most, will like it.

For the bathroom, we'll probably stick with pistachio mint green...we're not doing a complete makeover, and this colour will go with everything that's already in there (flooring, tiles, countertop, etc)

I do enjoy putting colours - and rooms - together...almost as much as I enjoy putting words together. Maybe I should have been an interior decorator!
