Have any of ya'll rewired a lamp? The on/off switch on mine has broken and though that if I could rewire, I'd like one with a switch along the cord, too?

I've never done anything like this and the local fire department has asked that I don't attempt it, but if you go HERE you can watch the DIY show that supposedly tells you how, step by step.

Also, I did a Google and found lots of sites telling how to do it. Google is our friend.

Heck I've done it and the lamp and house around it has been safe for over a year. If done right JJ there is no danger.
