Hi Everyone,

I wanted to alert you to the following resource:

What: You Want Me To Do What? is an eight-week workshop, conducted through e-mail, that introduces journaling as a technique for relieving a caregiver’s stress.

Where: Currently offered through group e-mails. E-mail Lgood67334@comcast.net for info. Put “Journaling” in the subject box.

When: Starting the week of January 13, 2008. First topic sent on January 15.

Why: Caring for oneself is as essential as breathing, but caregivers lose site of that fact. As the flight attendant says before takeoff, “If an oxygen mask drops down in front of you, place it over your own nose and mouth and breathe normally before sharing it.” Journaling is a caregiver’s oxygen mask.

Who: Instructor B. Lynn Goodwin, a veteran of over six years of caregiving, is a freelance writer and editor and a former college and high school teacher.

Contact info: B. Lynn Goodwin, Lgood67334@comcast.net

Thanks,

Lynn

Lynn, thanks for posting this here. Be sure to use the member directory of the NABBW to see the other women who are involved with care-giving/eldercare. There are several.
