Girls, I enjoyed it so much I'm already looking forward to next year's VBS. I hope to have a bit more time to prepare for this event. This year I had a trip to PR and other engagements, which almost left me out of this fun-filled & blessed experience.

I also had a wonderful partner and friend to work with too. That made it all the more enjoyable. In fact, I call her my "Twin Soul" because we share the same passion for Christ and can identify with each other in so many ways.

Gerrbeck: I'm glad you got to enjoy the squirrels at work. It must be a beautiful sight! Yes! Cool weather is just around the corner!

When my children were little we toured with a caravan each year.In the small fishing villages summer mission tents held daily meetings. In the evening outdoor services were held on Sunday. This took place beside the harbour.Only after midnight did the fleet sail.Fishermen are very spiritual .
thank you for prompting my menory of those happy times.

Mountain, I'd love to hear more. How long did you tour?

We toured pulling a caravan (trailer)every year for 14 years.Summer holidays and the odd weekend.I was good at preparing for our holidays and used laundrey facilities. Some former stately homes have an area touring caravans can pitch on.Mostly the showers/baths were in former stables.Imagine keeping two children clean But I managed. The food was always terrific .Local produce mostly fish and fruit. We would visit friends as we toured and if I got to use their washing machine I was thrilled. We were safe...went more places than we could afford otherwise. I met many lovely caravaners and yjr children all played. My two would pick up accents from others. Most time was three weeks. My home seemed huge when I returned.
