Are you like Theresa?
Ideal Client Profile #1 Individual Client
Theresa is a Corporate America "refugee" who owns a business with sales of between $250K - $20M
dollars (or that's what she wants to create). She's between the ages of 35 and 55, is in the financial
services or technology fields, or has a service oriented business, and has always been driven to aim
higher and achieve more than those around her. Two to ten years ago, she started a business that is
now small to mid-sized or she manages a branch office that draws on her career experience and/or
passion.
However, Theresa currently feels like a business slave instead of a business owner, overwhelmed with
all she is already doing to run and grow her business. She is not focused and has so many ideas
coming at her that she's not sure what to do next. Chances are that she's realizing that she's doing lots
of things "ass backwards" and she's ready to stop working the way she has (usually putting out lots of
fires). She knows that in its current state, her business it is more like a job she created for herself, that
her company could not run without her, and that it would be hard to sell because it's not "turn-key."
She's is very sure that the profits could be much higher, and she wants to spend her business time
doing only what work she enjoys. She is tired of feeling like the Lone Ranger and of having little
support for her position as CEO, president, branch manager, principal, etc.
Theresa understands the importance of leveraging her time, money, and expertise. In fact, her longterm
goal to reach financial freedom usually includes these highlights:
 Becoming a multi-millionaire.
 "Looking" like a big business without becoming a gigantic enterprise.
 Doubling or tripling the company's sales.
 Employing 25-50 contractors, consultants, employees, independent professionals.
 Taking lots of time off -- without it affecting the bottom line.
 Having an Internet presence to create additional streams of income.
 Selling her business, sometime in the future, to fund her retirement, start a new business or notfor-
profit, become a philanthropist, investor or has some other big audacious goals in mind!
Theresa has realized that - try as she has - she can't reach her goals all by herself. Her own efforts to
this point have probably included wasting a lot of money, purchasing various training products, hiring or
bartering with the wrong people, and marketing or networking in ways "because they're cheap to do."
Although she has not yet achieved the results she knows she can achieve, and is a bit wary about
hiring an strategist and coach, Theresa still yearns for a successful business -- by her own definition -
and is looking for someone who can partner with her to double her income while enjoying life to the
fullest.
A few other things about Theresa:
She could actually be a "Terrance" or sell a product.
She's concerned about the environment and usually drives a Toyota or Honda or wants one.
She's doesn't consider herself a good marketer or networker or good "at business".
She is ready to overcome any "fears" or "doubts" she has about business or success.
She's a volunteer in an area she's passionate about, most likely on a few boards.
She could be single, married or be a stay-at-home mom or dad.
She's ready to understand that excuses are just challenges waiting for new answers.
Theresa is ready – no committed -- to "bite the bullet" and move outside her comfort zone to -- to find
competent, trusted, advice. She is ready to honestly discuss her personal, business, and financial
circumstances and objectives.
