Dianne, I can't believe you have to do this. Last week while staying in a hotel in Chicago, I had this irritating sound that must have been similar to what you've been experiencing. It tended to go off and on with the heat system but there was no way it was the heat for my room only. It must have been for the whole side of the hotel. I thought of you Dianne and what you've been living with. What a PAIN!

Moving is a big pain but after its done life be diffrent for you and hopfullie better....Did the sofa thing get resolved between you and your hubbie?

We got a move comming in a few weeks time...it looks liklie at this point that its going to happen but i waite untill i can be definate about it before worrie too much .....

He let me get the sofa I loved. He rarely uses the sofa anyway but sits in a comfy chair.

Today, the guy is removing our draperies and putting them in the new flat. One thing down. Wednesday, everything hits. Delivery of dining room table, wireless service, taking down the tv and installing it in the new flat. I will be surrounded by hairy legged men!

We have a really sweet gal that cleans for us once a week. Just finishing college and starting out in the world with her long time boyfriend. They were eating off an old display table with plastic chairs. I gave her our old dining room table. It's small but modern. I'm really happy that we could help her in that way.

We took a bunch of containers down last night--things we won't need right away and I'm baffled as to where I'm going to put them. We have gained more floor space but lost drawer space. Oh well, we'll "git r done!"

Funny thing is...since it's finally warming up here, the boiler noise has stopped!!!!

Ain't that just the way it goes! Don't worry, it will get cold again. It is Minnesota!

Sorry to be MIA but I'm exhausted. Anno has a creative imagination! I'd never trust my shoes to any men. At Best Buy (tv installers) I'm known as the Parrot Woman! It seems the word has spread about Sammie talking while they were installing the tv through out Best Buy. She was talking when Direct TV came too. People are always so amazed by her.

We are settled in and I'm so glad it's over. The hub worked me to death over the week end. I just wanted to take a nap! Today, I'm out of coffee so I have to go grocery shopping--not my favorite thing. I can't wake up enough to get going!

One of the hairy legged men had dreadlocks (sp?) almost to his waist. He was really a handsome young man. I can't even handle the hub so I'm sure not going to bring more trouble into my life with the training and feeding of a young guy. I've exhausted that part of my life!

They were open heeled sneakers that I've worn so long they stunk! Have to get another pair because that's usually what I wear around the house.

What did they mean to me? Not stylish enough to mean anything. When did I last where them? Two nights ago and took them off and could smell them. Threw them in the trash before the hub could make a comment.

There's actually a Bertha story in the next book about Bertha throwing away shoes...she finds it easier to find the replacements first...then it's easier to give up the old ones...has something to do with giving up old habits if I recall...

I was telling my boss (who was trying to con me into working in the summer!) that I was going to Spain for a month as soon as school got out. She wanted to know how many pairs of shoes I planned on buying. Guess I have a bit of a reputation, too. (NOTHING, compared to Di, tho)

After moving, it takes me quite a while before I buy clothes or shoes because I realize how stupid it is to have so much stuff! You don't realize until you actually put it all together and have to load it.

Yep, really going to Spain! June 13. I am having so much fun planning.

I hear Barcelona is absolutely beautiful. Will you be there too?
