Hello all, I am a 51 year old grandmother of 5, budding novelist, hopefully someday. I would have been a stand up comedian but I'm not a night person. LOL
I was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease about 8 yrs ago so writing can get to be a bit dicey ( where's a free secretary when you need one?)
A friend reccomended this site to me, so I look forward to getting too know all of you. Remember laughter won't fix everything but it sure makes life interseting.

Welcome Gypsy! I see you're from Missouri. My Dad was born and raised in Kansas City, so I spent a few weeks every other summer, visiting what I used to call, "tornado country." I still have several Aunts and one Uncle, plus lots of cousins I don't really know, living in the Kansas City area. My Aunt Emily, for whom I am named, lives in Fulton. I haven't been to Missouri in decades, but I do stay in touch with my Auntie. If you're a "budding novelist," you've just connected with other published writers and many "blooming" writers. Our Sammy and John-John are our only grandchildren. But two is better than none and they are very much loved by me, their Grammy, and my husband, known as Pop-Pop. Five grandchildren must be one, big party! I look forward to hearing more about your novel! Blessings, Emily in Maryland, where the ice is going down the drain

Welcome aboard gypsy 51, I've been to Branson, twice. I know that Joyce Meyer is from Fenton, not far St. Louis. And it's a pretty state. I too am a budding author. Keep smiling. Perhaps we'll run into each other on the forums. Prayers and blessings,

Hello Gypsy, you CAN be a sit-down comedian. Nellie(my vent dummy) and I do it all the time. Welcome to BWS and maybe we can get a humor group together to write me a new script. chick

I chose my screen name because my family roots on my fathers side are in Romania and Germany and mother's side are Irish/German. When I was youmger(before all the grey highlights took over my head) I had deep dark black hair and hazel brown eyes, so they said I looked like a gypsy.
I was dubbed by another ladies group,"The comeback Queen."so perhaps I have a crack at sit down comedy. I have the sit down part already mastered. LOL

Popea, Thank you for welcoming me. My family roots are in Ireland. Someday I would love to kiss that Blarney stone. LOL
My writing has been at a stand still for the moment.

Hello Anno
Sorry to hear about your hubby having Parkinsons. It can be a frustrating disease. I'll be here if you ned to talk, I know it's hard on the care givers too. Yes that hunt and peck method pf typing is very familiar to me.

Emily I live outside of Rolla area in Missouri. It's almost in the center of the state.Home of UMR..university of Missouri, Rolla. When I have all five grandkids here it makes for a busy day. My Parkinsons has come in handy at times, just put a baby in the arm thar shakes ,they go right to sleep. It's great to hear your ice has melted. I only had two days without power during all of that mess.

Thanks Flame for the hello. May your flame burn brighter then the stars above. Your brillance last just as long and may there be a shortline to the ladies and the local pub!

Don't forget Hannelore, she throws tummy chuckles out regularly, along with JJ and chick. I'm waiting for a comedy hour with some hilarious standoffs.
