If one was to receive a large sum of money, say an inheritance, where is the best place to put it RIGHT NOW.

And she talks about having a financial plan but she addressed it from the standpoint that she assumed everybody has one. I know lots and lots of people who don't. What is the best way to go about getting one? Is their a guideline ONLINE? A step-by-step for those people who are clueless? What would be her advice to someone who wanted to start developing one?

I have had two separete financial plans and both had to be drastically altered when my situation changed. Once due to me and once due to nothing I had control over. So tell me how we make a financial plan when everything is always changing around us financially???
