Laurel Registered: 01/10/07 Posts: 431 Loc: Oklahoma, USA	Getting on the "Do not call list" helps keep many telemarketers from calling but it seems they have gotten around this by sending a prerecorded message to your telephone. You can't tell a recording to take you off their list and not call back...or can we? The next time you get one of these recordings start hitting the pound key (#) several times. If you have the type telephone that has the buttons separate from the handset you should here a message telling you that you have been removed from their list. This is how you tell a computer you no longer want to receive phone calls from them. They get a big fine. Another approach they use is they are doing a survey or are a non-profit org. The auto ones will get a good pounding from me too now. The live ones, I chat very friendly with. Anno, this will work with any phone, you just won't be able to hear the computer tell you they've taken you off their list. Chick, I think they have lost that list because I get tons of calls. Most of the ones I get now are computer recorded, and non-profit. I think non-profit groups are an exception to that rule, however, I think if you tell them to take you off of their list they are supposed to. She speaks with a very southern accent and tells them she doesn't understand a word of French. It works for her. I think I might answer with French and tell them I don't speak of word of English.
