Jabber, I don't even pretend to have a green thumb, so i am no help here. But I did a bit of research and turned up this article which might be of some help. It comes from Horticulture magazine...

Wow. Learned something there. Who knew it isn't really a cactus. It grows in the jungle in the tops of trees? Wooooowwww. Interesting read. Thanks Anne.

Many people here have these plants and give cuttings to others.

One lady has a large one that covers most of a small round table and is a wonderful plant when blooming. She inherited it from her Father so its really old.

I do know you can over water in the dormant season.also always keep the same side to the window where light strikes it first.
Mark this on inner pot.

Great advice, thank you MA. I've been turning it all the time.
Perhaps that's where I'm going wrong. I do need to replant it.
That I know. I inherited it from my MIL, along with her dog.

I just tossed my last house plant, jabber, so no help here. I got tired of one more thing to take care of, so I'm sticking with the artificial plants for now.

I here you. Most of my house plants are artificial, too.

Yonuh, If I hadn't inherited this from my MIL, I'd probably toss it, too.

Mountain Ash,
I've marked the pot and plant so it stays in the same spot; thank you so much!

My Christmas cactus has its holidays messed up. It's blooming now, just in time for Valentine's Day!
