Does anyone use them to their fullest potential?

I recall way back "when" that we used them for lots of stuff, like our short-cuts today but I want to do more with them.

Anyone?? (Gosh this new keyboard is a GOD-send....so, so.....wonderful!!!)

I don't even know what most of my F keys do. Do you? How do you find out?

Buy "Computers for Dummies." I don't mean to insult you Anno but its what I did and how I learned. Also there was a book manual that came with this new computer. The 'dummies' book is better though.

chatty, great suggestion. I've not read that one, but just read WordPress for Dummies and Blogging for Dummies. Never read a Dummies book before, but will most certainly do so whenever I want to learn something new. They were great.

I have never read a Dummies book, either. I have only heard great things about them, however.

I assume to talk to us "non" geeks??????

I started pressing my F keys and some do have a function: like volume etc. Up/down etc. Another brings up my "Dashboard".

Okay, now that's a duh! Try them out?!?

Di, thanks for the cheap advice - I am not into buying books that call me an idiot! LOL.

Actually, all of my F keys have pictures (icons, I suppose) on them. I just never use them. Can't say that I know why.

I have had a computer for most of my adult life. My father owned the very first apple that came out, and I purchased the very first Franklin - a copycat of the apple that was soon off of the market because of copycat issues. This was long before the WWW became a reality.

I just purchased a new laptop a few months back. It cost less than my first computer and has more applications than I could ever possibly use. Incredible.
