Just thought I'd add my guys in here, wish I knew how to load on pics but I don't sorry.

We have 3 dogs, 3 cats and a horse. Jade the horse is a black QH. Dogs are Angus 10 (Westie), Robbie 9 (Scottie) my baby Jeff 3 (maltese/Shih Tzu cuttie). Cats are Bellamy 5 (Ragdoll) China 1 (cinnamon lynx oriental) and Lucky 8 (black moggie).

We've had many others over the years as well. We love having animals in the home but they can curtail the outings and holidays!!

I've had a couple of horses, enjoyed them til it got to busy where I live to comfortably ride down the road (traffic, teenagers driving fast). Moved on to a adorable, snuggly yellow lab. I also love having animals around but you're right you can't leave them alone for long, and an indoor lab needs lots of walks, but it's good for me also.

Those Labs love to chew, don't they?

Do you by any chance do Yoga? I see your name is one of the positions.

Yup, love my Yoga and my lab. We stuck a toy in his mouth every chance we got when he was a puppy so now he runs around with a toy hanging out of his mouth chronically, stopped the chewing of the wrong things. I usually practice the Yoga 4 to 5 days a week.

Hi downdog,
I also love my Yoga and try to do it at least 3 times per week. Right now, I need the spiritual lift because my precious Bassett, Buck, may have Cancer. I lost my other Bassett, Otis, in October of 2005, and am not ready to lose another...

Love Yoga and Bassetts...

I'm sorry, I hope Buck is alright. I know how close you get to these precious animals. They accept us so unconditionally and affectionately. Keep up the Yoga, it does help release the negative thougts the surround us so very much.

Good to meet some other yoga lovers here.

Downdog, our Angus 10 (Westie) has a teddy he was given as a puppy and to this day he still gets it out (especially when he's tied) and gets it in the correct postion to suck on it!!! How old is your lab who still loves his puppyhood toy?

Bassett, I hope Bucks prognosis is a positive one and you still have many more years with him. How old is he?

Well, I just found out that Buck does have lymphoma. He's 11 years' old and he's been part of a team called "Buck and Otis", until we lost Otis last November. Right now, he's doing OK, other than the swollen nodes and his eyes are kind of rolled back in his head? Don't know how long he'll be in this condition...

Appreciate your thoughts at this critical time, flossie and down dog

Ah, I had a bassett years ago named Burlap. They are such sweet dogs and all you have to do is look at them and you have to laugh.

I hope he'll continue to be a blessing to you for many years. Are they pursuing any kind of treatment for him?
