Kelly, wouldn't you make it a part of your will and after you found someone who was willing to take care of your pet after you're gone? You fund a trust to set it up.

My will states that everything goes to my son (with special allotments to my daughter-in-law and grandchildren) BUT the will rests on the contingency that my son take in and care for my pets until they pass or the money goes to The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and they would take my pets and keep them together to live out their lives in comfort...The will is iron clad and unbreakable...If I have no pets then no problem...
