Love it, thanks for the memories, Lola.

How good could you all dance rock and roll? My husband tried to flip me once and we both landed smack on the dance floor. Now if I could turn time back, I wish I had learned how to really rock!

The BBC had just featured an hour-long programme about Neil Sedaka. He toured over here last year and still sounded like he did years ago. How in the world did I miss that tour?

He has re-worked some of his hits for children...inspired by his grandchildren. Quite neat. I may get a copy for my own.

"Waking Up is Hard To Do".

LOL, Dotsie! I did a self-assessment. I probably would look like a flailing fish to others. Still...I have no shame. I am boomerwoman. grin

I was fortunate enough to chat with Neil Sedaka during a lull in his career in the early 70s (if memory serves). He was playing a Boston club and was on a break, so I went over and introduced myself, then a young girl about 21-22.

He was so nice and very grateful that I had liked his music when those first few hits came out. I remember he looked a bit sad, and I told him he was so talented and I was sure one day he'd make a comeback. And soon after, he sure did.

IMO: They don't make many like him anymore: people with real talent.
