I can't say I enjoyed the music of that period all that much but I did have some fun times at a disco, including falling off my shoes and having a nasty fall. Never made sense to me how anyone could dance in those big, high, platform shoes LOL.

The soles were layers of colors with a sandal strap top. I thought they were the greatest. Don't now how I walked in them. I have a friend who is very mod. She has this precious pair of platform shows that are red with white polka dots and a bow. Dang, how does she still do it? My daughter has a few pairs and she always sets out to wear them, then switches to a flip flop. What a hoot. Well stylish it isn't when you're all dressed up in your summer best dress and you fall on those things and all anyone can see are your panties LOL. I do not see how anyone can wear those either. Couple of my daughters have shoe addictions lol and have some but they're young and they DO look cute. Maybe I'm just challenged in that department. The pair I had were sandals too...white with red bows. I get vertigo just thinking about them now, worn maybe twice and put in the Goodwill box. I don't know what hurt more...my head when I fell or my dignity.

And I LOVED disco! The high energy and movin' it to the beat. To me, disco and R & B are the best dance music, ever-forever.
