I listen to an oldies station in my car and I've got to admit whenever Light My Fire by the Doors comes on I turn up the volume and sing along. It reminds me of my hippie days (I only dressed like one) with my waist length straight hair and huge bellbottom pants.

How about Respect by Aretha Franklin? Mustang Sally is a good one too.

We no longer have an oldies station in NY--they turned it into that lame Jack radio for the younguns!!! [Embarrassed]

My music growing up is now considered CLASSIC ROCK.....how Aerosmith, Billy Joel, Led Zeppelin & others became classic......oh yes!!! This growing older thing that won't go away!!! [Smile]

I did listen to the oldies station....I know like country music. From heavy metal to country music!
Boy did I ever GROW UP!!! [Smile]

Time for me to confess - as a teenager, I was a Dead Head...anyone else out there? Does their music qualify as oldies, now?? And I loved Bob Dylan!!

My husband is a Bob Dylan fan. Bluebird, I'm too old to be a Deadhead fan.

Another favorite song which is great to listen to with the top down (or on a Harley) Born to be wild by Steppenwolf. Also Brown eyed girl.
