why is it that every time i click on a link, when I click the x it closes the WHOLE forum? There is no ability to do the back button on the browser, which indicates one must click the x. And it drives me....no, I am learning to declare better things...it annoys me NO END. Can anyone 'xplain it?

I figured it out. This damn firefox updates itself and puts the 'open in tabs' thing up there. I think that may be the cause. I'll try again and see.

I use firefox and they have a default thing that goes back to tabs apparently, when it's updated itself. grrrrrr. Hubby says ie is going to that too. however I dn't use IE, b/c of security leaks.

I have firefox, and when I try to close a tab it asks me if I want to close all those tabs. Doesn't it ask you?

I really like this updated version. It some how looks fresher, or is that just because it's something new?

I agree, the new forum looks great. I haven't had any problems with opening and closing the links neither. JaMa, perhaps you have a lot of "unaware stuff" running in the background causing you grief. Some of the stuff is usually from ad-spys. That "stuff" can do crazy things like that, and slow down your computer big time. If you do not have adaware or spybot on your computer, I would highly recommend it. It will remove all that garbage off of your computer and help prevent other "spys" from getting on your puter tracking what you look at. Just a thought.
