Thanks to the wise women in our neighborhood we now have volunteer forum moderators. Someone mentioned it, others volunteered, and voila...we are up and running.

Here is the list of "hall monitors" (as Lynn calls them) and the "halls" where they hang out:

Chatty – Pets, Recipes, Diet and Exercise, Singlehood

Chickadee – Prayer Requests, Blessings/Joys, Girlfriends

Danita – Children, Homemaker

Jawjaw – Laughter, Fine Whine, Women Writers

Lionspaaw – Loss, Grandchildren, Recommended Links

Louisa - Remember

Lynn Tolson – Mental Illness, Current Events, Alcohol/Drugs, Favorite Books and Movies, Divorce

Smile – Marriage, Faith/Religion, Aging Parents, Illness, Our Bodies

Please know this is done on a volunteer basis for which I am most grateful. I can tell a difference already.

I feel funny about asking women to help, but if you are interested in moderating a forum...just drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.

Hi Dotsie, please don't feel funny about asking for help. This site has grown in popularity, and you have been doing so much work. I know it's fun and interesting work, but it's work all the same. We are so glad to be of assistance. It gives us a greater sense of commitment and participation. By the way, if anyone wants to take the topic of divorce from me, that would be okay. Not that I mind, it's just that I could give one up to someone else. And, keep in mind that I will be in Vermont to my writer's conference from August 9 to 17, so I'll need a substitute hall monitor! Dots shouldn't ever feel bad about asking us to be monitors. Hey, it's the best job I ever had.

I can sit on my couch (dressed in my skimpy mumu and wearing my BADGE of course) and boss people around. I love this job. And you guys better behave too cause I'm tough.

I deputized Chatty and JJ. Chatty's the detective. She sniffs out any nasty old Chippendales that might be lurking around here and JJ cuffs 'em. Then I do the body search.

Gosh, you'd think with all these leaky radiators here (we're not all shiny new Mustangs anymore, you know), there'd be a little more leniency...maybe you should hand out monthly pee passes.
