I did macrame back when it was popular, and learned all kinds of needlework stuff growing up. My grandmother taught me all of it including embroidery, knitting, crocheting, tatting, tapestry, you name it. I loved doing all that up until a few years ago. I started a crocheted afghan for my grandson before he was born - he just turned 11 so I think it's too late to finish it now!! I am going to add some pretty crocheted flowers to liven it up. I have a crazy quilt that Mom and I started over 10 yrs ago. She is gone and I don't have the heart even yet to finish it... I macramed a coffee table with a glass top one time. I think my sister still has it. Has anyone tried matting. My Mom did some lovely rugs. Maybe I'll take it up again. I loved drawing the pics for her to fill in with recycled clothing rags. Now I'm feeling close to Mom.
