Just wanted to share that my daughter received this precious mirror from a friend as a graduation present. Apparently, you can buy plain, wood framed mirrors and decorate them. She painted it, added beads and spirals, swivels, etc, then added a strip of beading that dangles along the bottom edge. It's adorable.

Any crafty people looking for a new project?

This is one we all missed and it could be something especially nice for the kids to make for a Christmas gift for Grandma or their Godmother.

Yeah donna, never thought of that. Cahtty, thanks for bringing it back up. It's also an easy thing for women to make and sell at church bazaars.

I did a variation of this using photos of my children instead of mirrors. I also mounted it on 2" x 2" balsa boards and made them as Christmas ornaments for the tree. I now do this with the grandchildren, who do the borders with dry pasta which I spray-paint and add glitter to for festive effect. Lots of fun!
