Has anyone stayed in any of the private villa rentals in Italy, especially in the Tuscany area? I am planning a trip in the spring and would love to hear from anyone who has information.

Thanks,

Angie T

What a wonderful idea! Have you seen "Under the Tuscan Sun" with Dianne Lane? Loved the movie, I've only been to Florence, would love to see the Tuscany countryside. How did you plan your trip?

This trip is still in the planning stage and yes I did see "Under the Tuscan Sun" and I am currently reading the book. My brother and sister-in-law and I are thinking about going next May and maybe staying near Florence. Have never been before but I am really looking forward to it. Do you have any must sees in Florence or neat places to shop or dine. I would love to hear if you do.

Thanks,

Angie T.

Angie, we were in Tuscany a few years ago but stayed in a hotel. We did rent a villa in France though. Would you like a website?

Sure! Did you have a good experience with the villa?

Thanks,

This was from one of my researches. You'll have to put your destination in for a search.

Our villa experience was wonderful! So much better than staying in a hotel. We could hire a cook to shop and fix our dinner and was it ever good. We were wise to do it our first night there because we were too tired to go out for dinner. Jet lag something awful.

While in Tuscany, try to visit the Banfi castle and shop. They have some wonderful items but don't let them ship them to you. They aren't real good at packing things so they won't break. An American couple own the castle.

I have a close friend who was born and raised in Italy. Would you like to contact her? If so, you can PM me and I'll get her contact info to you.
