Danita Member Registered: 01/24/05 Posts: 1550 Loc: Colorado	Have any of you traveled to the Big Island? Do you have a list of "must do's"? Hubby and I will be going there in Sept, I'm working on lodging. The island looks "BIG"! lol. Just trying to work things out in my mind first! I would greatly appreciate any input from someone who has been there before! Danita

Dotsie Founder Registered: 07/09/08 Posts: 23647 Loc: Maryland	Danita, Ross and I went many years ago. We went for two weeks and hit five of the islands. Are you going to the big island only? Let me know and I'll post what we did while we were there. Also, you may want to go in the Featured Author Forum and ask Lori. I'm sure she's been there.

And then we'll go to the big island for another 6 days. I CAN'T WAIT! I HAVE HAWAII ON MY MIND! This is going to be a "second honeymoon" for us - AND, I will turn 40 there. Woooo hooooooo! Danita

LEANNA Member Registered: 05/31/05 Posts: 5	2 years ago I spent 3 weeks on the B I. I spent one week in Kona, moved to the volcano for 2 nites, then did 5 nites in Hilo, and then 7 more nites north of Kona. I did lots of extra trips and found that I was busy for all 21 days! Its a fascinating island and now my favorite. Rent a car and explore there is much to see. I highly reccomend the guide book, "Hawaii, The Big Island Revealed" as I literally just ff. the routes they listed. I was alone and had a great time.
