Dotsie Founder Registered: 07/09/08 Posts: 23647 Loc: Maryland	I just wanted to share that my son won a film award for a small piece he entered about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It was the Balitmore County PTA award. Now he was chosen to go to the state level. The fun part was going to the award ceremony on Friday night and they showed his piece in front of 200 people on a big screen. Don't you feel good when your kids are recognized for their passions?

But I recall he called us from Europe when we were having dinner. That son is a junior in college and was in Europe, but not studying film. He's a finance major...something we know nothing about. This is one of our high school seniors who got interested in filmmaking in the sixth grade. He was a skateboarder and they are began filming one another while skating. Now he films and rarely skates.
