Di Member Registered: 11/15/05 Posts: 2798 Loc: NM, transplant from NJ	Just wondering....since I'm not a mother, I'm not quite understanding why DH's idea of a vacation is to ALWAYS visit his DD, DSIL and DGD....is this a practice when you have a new grandchild? Nevertheless, I will admit I went to Vegas in August with my younger daughter and had a ball...just the 2 of us. She needed some Mommy time too. Right now, I am sure your hubby wants to catch each new moment as it develops. I hope you can enjoy it as well. However, why not suggest a vacation just the two of you or with friends. We are now in the stages of planning a December vacation to Florida. We really need some alone time. We both work so hard, we need to reconnect and get away from it all. _________________________ Pam

dejavu journeyman Registered: 08/16/06 Posts: 319	Another thing you can try is stretching the vacation so that you have some together time before or after the trip to visit the new GD. My husband and I often do that with his business trips, taking an extra day or two to sightsee. I don't have grandchildren yet, but I'm quite sure when I do, I'll want to visit them as much as possible.
