A friend of mine's mother is potentially on her way "home" to heaven...

She has been in the ICU since Januray - yesterday they decided to pull off all the external measures that have kept her body functioning.

I know many of us can relate to the heart ache of watching a loved one pass.

My friends' name is Randy - his mom is Wilma.

It would mean the world to me and my friend to know that you all are praying for the family during this difficult time.

We are praying that God either heals her quickly or takes her home quickly.

Here is a beautiful song by Mark Shultz called "walking her home"....grab your kleenex ladies.

thank u in advance for praying!

danita

Very neat song. I've never heard it before.

I will certainly remember them in my prayers. I can relate, especially at this time of year. It was six years ago last Saturday that Mom went to dance the streets of heaven.

Just a little update. I didn't want to start another topic since Danita just began this one today.

I heard from songbird. She's back from her trip without luggage and with a sore back from all the traveling. Please keep her in your prayers too. She has lots of engagements this month, including one today. She'll be back as soon as possible and (of course) is holding her boomer sisters in prayer! Please do the same for her.

Danita and Dotsie,
Will pray for Randy, Wilma and Songbird. What a lovely song that is. My friend I've been whining about on various threads, said to me, "I'll wait for you at Heaven's eastern gate." I don't know where that is, but I'll find it! I'm looking forward to Heaven: No pain; No separation; No worry; No hurt or heartache! Wow!!!

"Brad Paisley - When I Get Where I am Going"

When I get where I'm goin'
On the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly

I'm gonna land beside a lion
And run my fingers through his mane
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop 'a rain

Yeah, when I get where I'm goin'
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah, when I get where I'm goin'
Don't cry for me down here

I'm gonna walk with my Grandaddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I've missed him
Every minute since he left
And then I'll hug his neck

So much pain and so much darkness
In this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer
And so much work to do

But when I get where I'm goin'
And I see my Maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light
Of His amazing grace
Yeah, when I get where I'm goin'
(Oh when I get where I'm goin')
There'll be only happy tears
(I love you, yeah)
I will love and have no fear
(Yeah, when I get where I'm goin')
Yeah, when I get where I'm goin'

Thank you for praying ladies.

Lynn that was just beautiful - I found his video online and listened to him sing it.

Update:

Our prayers are being answered - the family is doing UNBELIEVABLY well........in fact - there is some major healing taking place among the relationships in the family.

Wilma is sleeping quietly....her body is begining to fail - but it seems she is resting comfortably.

Thank you for being a part of walking her home. Our prayers matter.

thankful hugs,

danita

Danita: I'm adding this family to the prayer list. May the Lord comfort this family and restore their relationship. May Wilma rest in the blessed hope brought by God's Word!

Dear friends and sisters: thanks for praying for me. No luggage still but I trust God is in control. He'll take care of me, for he's promised to! Still with lots of engagements. I'll be at my home church this coming weekend. After that, 6 weeks away in different engagements. Still trying to bring things here Up to date, and trying to not aggravate my back.

Make sure they are aware that she can still hear even though she may no longer be speaking. Glad to hear about the healing! God is good...even in death and dying.

Please pray, if it's God's will, that I may have my luggage returned soon! Thanks!
